SCREEN PRINT POSTERS

In early 2023, I created a series of 20 large scale screen printed posters (26 × 40 inches). The work confronts the devastating use of chemical weapons by Bashar al-Assad’s regime and the widespread torture in Syrian prisons, which led to international sanctions on Syria under the Caesar Act. Through bold and urgent imagery, the posters seek to expose the brutality of war crimes in the Middle East and preserve the memory of these atrocities.

The series was later exhibited at the Anya and Andrew Shiva Gallery at John Jay College in New York, an institution dedicated to criminal justice, forensic science, and human rights. There, the posters were not only displayed as themed exhibition but were also used as teaching material, sparking discussions among students about the role of art in documenting human rights abuses and amplifying silenced voices.
